UNIVERSITY PROJECT
Rebranding Sally Williams nougat packaging.

BRIEF
The brief was to design packaging for any branded product, existing or of your own creation, with the objective of creating an impactful display at the point of sale. Thus for this project, I chose Sally Williams as I felt after running questionnaires and research that the brand did not have a dis look or impactful on consumers due to the fact that many couldn't recall what Sally William's brand or packaging looked like. I set out to design a unique fresh look for their brand identity that matches their wonderful nougat product.
To make the packaging even more unique, each flavour has an engaged animal modeling with the food they eat that relates to the flavour of the box. It involved into something more with the whole partnership with the WWF and the awareness. It was my thesis I wrote that inspired me as it was about how designers were skillful at implying in their designs that they care about the problem however there are no real means to do anything about it, so it was an empty gesture with an “awareness”, basically saying that companies often just want to seem they are involved but not. That is why I included the donation (for every box you buy, 5% of their profit goes to WWF), as it will improve the brand's name and it will help the environment as well as letting the consumers feel involved so that they also feel good about buying the product.
